El contenido de este libro fue proporcionado por un anciano de un pueblo llamado San Mateo del Mar, el cual tiene una población aproximada de 7,000 habitantes. Los cuentos aquí incluidos fueron grabados en los años 40 por el lingüista Milton Warkentin del Instituto Lingüístico de Verano, quien estudió el idioma huave. Estos cuentos fueron analizados lingüísticamente por Alberto y Emilia Stairs del Instituto Lingüístico de Verano en 1986. |
Description:
The material in this book comes from an elder in the town of San Mateo del Mar, which has a population of approximately 7,000 inhabitants. These stories were recorded in the '40's by the linguist Milton Warkentin of the Summer Institute of Linguistics, who studied the Huave language. These stories were analyzed by Glenn and Emily Stairs, also of the Summer Institute of Linguistics, in 1986. |
