Implementing a literacy program

Once the preparations and planning have been done for a literacy program, you can put those plans into action. You can begin the process of helping people learn to read and write.

Here are some prerequisites for implementing a literacy program:

• You need to complete all the steps in Preparing for a literacy program
• You need to complete all the steps in Planning a literacy program

• Develop an instructional program.
• Prepare people to read and write.
• Organize and teach literacy classes.
• Teach people to read and write
• Manage the literacy program.
• Evaluate the program and its components.
• Facilitate the continuation of the program.
