How to print multiple copies with a silk-screen printer

 

Introduction
 

Printing with a silk-screen printer is a good option if you need a fairly small number of copies. A stencil is usually good for 20 to possibly 50 copies. After that, it is likely to tear or wrinkle from repeated use.

Here is a prerequisite for printing multiple copies on the silk-screen printer:

 
Guidelines
 

Follow these guidelines for printing multiple copies:

 
  • Add more ink as needed.
  • Lift the stencil and straighten it if it gets wrinkled or it may tear.
  • Print pages one immediately after another without cleaning the ink from the screen.
Steps
  Follow these steps to print multiple copies with a silk-screen printer:
 
  1. Put a clean sheet of paper in place and lower the screen frame .

  2. Pull the applicator firmly down across the fabric screen .

  3. Remove the paper.
  4. Put each sheet aside to dry for at least 5-10 minutes before stacking or printing the other side.

  5. Repeat Steps 2-4 for each copy.
